What Happened?

Patients have filed lawsuits alleging that GLP-1 medications including Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, and Zepbound caused non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION), which can result in sudden and permanent vision loss. Plaintiffs allege the manufacturers failed to adequately warn patients and doctors about the risk. The manufacturers dispute the allegations.
